Free Wellbeing Events in London: Inside Fiery Hearts Wellbeing Week

Last month, Fiery Hearts hosted Wellbeing Week, a series of free community sessions created to make wellbeing more accessible and bring people together through movement, mindfulness and creativity.

At Fiery Hearts, we believe wellbeing grows through shared experiences. It happens when people have space to move, breathe, rest and connect with others in a supportive environment. Wellbeing Week was created with this intention, offering a range of sessions designed to be welcoming, inclusive and open to all.

Why We Created Wellbeing Week

Many people want to take part in wellbeing activities but find that regular classes, workshops or retreats can be too expensive or feel intimidating.

Wellbeing Week was designed to remove some of those barriers by offering sessions that were free, with no experience needed and no pressure to perform. The aim was simply to create a space where people could come as they are and take part in a way that felt right for them.

What Happened During the Week

Across the week we offered a range of sessions including Yoga, breathwork, sound baths, relaxation, movement and creative workshops.

In total, the week included:

  1. 6 days of events
  2. 6 sessions
  3. 6 facilitators
  4. collaborations with local venues and community partners
  5. over 140 participants attending across the week

Some sessions were quiet and restorative, while others were more active and energising. Each session was designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing, while also creating a sense of connection between participants.

Who Took Part

One of the most meaningful parts of the week was the mix of people who attended.

Participants included local residents, people attending a wellbeing session for the first time, regular class members, older adults, younger participants and people who heard about the events through friends or community groups.

The age range across the week was approximately 6 to 82, with many people saying they appreciated being in a space where everyone felt welcome regardless of experience, fitness level or background.

The Impact of Wellbeing Week

Feedback from the week showed how important spaces like this can be.

From participant responses:

  • Over 90 percent said they felt more relaxed after attending
  • 100 percent said they would like to attend future sessions
  • Many said they felt more connected to others after the events
  • Several participants shared that it was their first time attending a wellbeing workshop

Comments included:

"I didn’t realise how much I needed to slow down until this week."

"It felt good to be in a space where there was no pressure."

"I came on my own but didn’t feel alone."

For us, this is the kind of impact that matters most.

Why Community Wellbeing Matters

Access to wellbeing should not be limited to those who can afford expensive classes or who already feel confident walking into those spaces.

When sessions are welcoming, inclusive and community-led, they can help reduce isolation, support mental health and give people a place to feel grounded, even for a short time.

Wellbeing Week showed how powerful it can be when people come together simply to move, breathe and share space.

What’s Next for Fiery Hearts

Wellbeing Week is part of our ongoing work to create accessible wellbeing events, workshops and community gatherings throughout the year.

Some sessions will be quiet and restorative. Others will be more playful and social. All of them will be rooted in the same idea that wellbeing grows through connection.

If you would like to hear about future Fiery Hearts events, workshops and community sessions, you can follow us on social media or get in touch through the contact page on this website.

We look forward to sharing the next gathering with you.
